The best place to stay in Baguio!

True to its name, Guest Haven is truly a guest haven! The ambiance of the place is rustic, warm, and peaceful; combine it with the cool Baguio breeze – it’s really an ideal place for relaxation.

Upon arrival, our host welcomed us to the lobby and discussed with us the house rules as well as the “surprise” breakfast we’ll be having the morning after which made us both curious and excited!

The whole place consists of 4 rooms – Aleph, Beth, Gimmel, and Dalet which are the first four Hebrew alphabets. Cool, right?

We were then led to our room – room Beth, the largest room in the house! They also offered us lemonades as welcome drinks.

Our bed is a king sized canopy bed with an orthopedic mattress which provided us with a very pleasant sleep.

We were also provided with toiletries – shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, and vanity kits. Towels were also provided as well as slippers. Believe it or not, our room also has a walk-in closet!

Here are some snaps of the common areas:

It feels like I’m in North Pole! The Christmas spirit is totally in the place!

Near the lobby, there’s a café which is open to both guests and non-guests.

“Drink good coffee and read good books.”

Here’s the main dining area where we had our “surprise” breakfast. It’s the perfect spot to start the day after an ultimately comfy sleep!

In support of local coffee farmers, the breakfast is exclusive of coffee/other drinks. They use coffee beans from Sagada and other local communities.

Regular Coffee/Americano, 65Php
Cafe Latte, 110Php
Choco Batirol, 120Php

Their choco batirol is a must-try!

This is Guest Haven’s surprise breakfast which consists of vegetable omelette, crunchy baguettes, strawberry jam, and yogurt!

Guest Haven’s Surprise Breakfast

It’s refreshing to have a healthy breakfast once in a while. I’m so used to fast food meals so this one’s a perk-up!

Our room is located at the main level so our view is overlooking the garden! It’s a very satisfying experience to wake up to this tranquil sight with chirping birds and the cool winds of Baguio.

Guest Haven is truly a home away from home. Everything was wonderful – the garden, interiors, our room, the bed, walk-in closet, the food, everything! Not to mention the very accommodating host and the courteous staff, I will definitely book again.

I’d really recommend this place most especially if you are planning to relax, loosen up, and have a break from the urban life.
