We had lots of fun during our wedding reception, big thanks to Admiral Hotel Manila for the amazing food and wonderful service, and of course to our wedding coordinator Events by Dana D for the exciting program and excellent hosting ✨
We were hoping for a nice sunset because our venue is at the Admiral Club Manila Bay, Admiral Hotel’s rooftop restaurant with glass ceilings and I think everything just went our way that day. The sunset was magical 🥹
We took the chance to get nice photos by the sunset and fortunately, Morty is back to his jolly self after a quick rest following the wedding ceremony.
When we entered the venue, Morty was a little confused by the mob of people welcoming him 😆
After our entrance, the program started with the mother-and-son dance and everyone was hyped up when Stefan and Tita Mellie danced “Permission to Dance” by BTS. It was quite a performance!
Papa and I didn’t get to practice so we were just having fun during the father-and-daughter dance 😆
And for our first dance, Stefan and I danced to “Baby I’m Yours” by Arctic Monkeys. I just love how the photos turned out! I’m planning to sort out and compile the videos of our first dance too!
After the series of dancing, it’s now time for the cake cutting – our beautiful minimalist cake is also by Admiral Hotel Manila.
It is a vanilla sponge cake in buttercream frosting with some gold leaf foil accents, I really loved it! That’s why when we gave each other a small piece of the cake, I actually took one more bite afterwards 😆
It’s now time for the wedding speeches and I’m very proud of my sister for successfully delivering her Maid of Honor speech. She told me to ask another bridesmaid to prepare a speech as backup in case she gets nervous, but yay she did it!
As for the best man’s speech, I’ll just leave it to your imaginations what it is that Yel said that made us react like this 😆
After Yel finished his speech, we had our first toast as a married couple!
This is then followed by everyone’s favorite part of the wedding party – dinner time!
Admiral Hotel catered absolutely delicious food, our guests were still talking about the food more than a month after the wedding!
The crowd’s favorites: the prime rib at the carving station and the lobster bisque soup!
Everyone also enjoyed the dessert station – we had a chocolate fountain, a gelato station, fresh fruits sushi, and many more kinds of sweets!
We also had an open bar with red wine, white wine, local beers, and sodas to keep everyone hyped up 🥂
After dinner comes another exciting part of the program, the “Last Man Standing” game. As the title of the game suggests, the winner of the game is the last man standing and it will be determined by a game of bato-bato-pik.
Supposedly, each guest will be handed 20 pesos and if you lose, you’ll give all the 20 pesos that you currently have to your winning opponent. I thought of just buying a prize and printing some Morty bucks to make the game more personal 🥰
Everyone was having fun, even our ninongs and ninangs enjoyed the game!
Down to the final round, it’s Jason vs Tita Marie. They had an intense fight with 3 rounds of bato-bato-pik 😆
The last man standing is a woman! Tita Marie wins the highly coveted Samsung Galaxy Buds 2!!! 😆
Next part of the program is Stefan’s sexy dance and garter retrieval, I will not be posting his dance photos for the sake of his dignity 😆
We also had a couples game right after and it went really well. Good thing our friends were all game and eager to play.
The winners of the couples game, Jean & Arvin! We all know what this means 😜
Of course, before the program concludes, we had our ever supportive parents give speeches too 🥰
As seen in the photos, everyone was just so happy that night. We are very thankful to our wedding suppliers for making this night a wedding party to remember.
