Hola, Chowboy Grill is here!

Chowboy Grill is the newest FilMex restaurant in Sta. Cruz Laguna and it’s starting to grow into our hearts and tastebuds! With the wide variety of food to choose from, you’ll definitely go back and try more from their menu.

Formerly known as “Royal Ihaw-ihaw” which is recognized for their staple Filipino menu, Chowboy Grill is now also serving Mexican cuisine (and a bit of Western!) On my first visit, we had Quesadillas, Seafood Paella, and Chowboy Burger.

Their Quesadillas is a must try! Paired with their avocado and garlic cream sauce, it’s just perfect.

They also offer beef and chicken variants but the plain one with cheese filling is not something to overlook, it really goes well with the avocado dip.

Their Seafood Paella is on the pricier side (560 Php) but you’ll definitely get what you pay for! The paella has large prawns, alongside perfectly cooked mussels and squid, on top of their well seasoned rice – it’s instantly one of my favorites.

To my surprise, their Chowboy burger is really good too! The patty has this crunch that I really liked but it’s still juicy in the inside.

Aside from their food tasting really good, they were also presented very nicely. Here’s @madamtravelsss who can’t stop taking pictures of our food.

The next day, I went back to try more of their menu – this time I’m with Gladys. We ordered Soft Shell Beef Tacos and Linguine Scampi. Still got the quesadillas though! (a must)

Their tacos are generously filled with beef, big enough for sharing, and served with the same sauces for the quesadillas. Also tried their Linguini Scampi since the waiter said it’s the owner’s favorite from their menu.

After trying it out, I now know why. Gladys also liked it the most! The chili and garlic oil used to coat the pasta is perfectly balanced, not overpowering but will make you ask for more, we finished the bowl right away. Loved how the shrimp was cooked too!

They also offer coffee and other refreshments. I’ve tried their Café Latte and Strawberries and Cream, and both are actually on point in terms of taste and serving size.

Their walls are painted with nice backdrops too – which would be perfect for your next instagram posts 😜

Everything just exceeded my expectations – the food, the ambiance, as well as the service were all splendid. I will most definitely go back, maybe I’ll try their Filipino dishes next time!

Whether you’re looking for a place to just chill with some pica-picas or have a full meal with your family and friends, Chowboy Grill is just the perfect. ❤ For their full menu, you can visit: https://www.facebook.com/ChowboyGrill/
