Brownies with Cream Cheese Frosting

Today, I will share with you my brownies with cream cheese frosting recipe. The ingredients you’ll need are available in most supermarkets. You’ll need just around an hour to prepare and to bake your brownies!

For the Brownies:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • 1 small box of cream cheese
  • 3 cups powdered/confectioner’s sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

First, preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and grease your pan. I’m using wax paper so that it’s easy to remove after baking.

Then, combine the dry ingredients in one bowl – cocoa powder, all purpose flour, and baking powder. Set aside.

On another bowl, soften the butter. Then, add eggs one at a time. Next, add white sugar and vanilla extract. Mix well.

Afterwards, add the dry ingredients mixture into your batter.

Mix, mix, mix!

Pour your batter into your pan and put it in the oven. Bake it for 25 to 30 minutes.

Rest your brownie for at least 10 minutes before spreading the frosting!

For the cream cheese frosting – soften the cream cheese and add the powdered sugar one cup at a time. Then mix in the vanilla extract. You can do this before making your brownies and refrigerate it before spreading into your brownie.

Spread, spread, spread!

Cut the brownies into your preferred sizes. I added white chocolate chips so it won’t be plain.

You can also try to use other types of frosting – chocolate, peanut butter, butter cream, anything goes with chocolate brownies! Let me know in the comments section what you’ve tried. Enjoy!
