I received lots of questions about the last solo travel I did – overwhelming in a good way! I spent 9 days traveling from South to North of Vietnam by entering at Ho Chi Minh, flying to Central Vietnam, and departing at Hanoi. Here are the most frequently asked questions when I got back:
Kuromon Market is famous for its fresh seafoods, street foods, and cheap souvenirs! This market has been around for over 170 years and is known to be “Osaka’s Kitchen” since it’s where local homeowners and restaurant chefs get their supplies. Today, it’s also a very a well-known tourist destination because: FOOD.
One, two, tea! This private tea ceremony is my favorite Kyoto activity! We spent the whole afternoon at Ryoanji area in Kyoto – went to see the Ryoanji temple, put on our yukatas, and enjoyed the afternoon tea ceremony at Camellia.
Aside from numerous tourist spots, Kyoto also boasts of countless food places with ultimately good food! In this blog post, I’ll share with you 3 restaurants we’ve visited and loved during our stay in Kyoto.

Mt. Koya/Koyasan is not your typical travel destination. Being more than 2 hours away from Osaka, not many tourists consider going to Koyasan. Nevertheless, our stay at Koyasan particularly Henjosonin, was one of the best parts of our trip!
Right after our visas got approved, we immediately looked for places to stay. I thought an AirBnB at Osaka would be a better idea than staying at a hotel. Aside from being a lot cheaper, a whole house is so much better than a tiny hotel room since we will be staying for a week!
Bolinao is a 5-hour drive from Manila and is famous for its Patar white beach, Bolinao waterfalls, and delicious seafood! One of the most coveted place to stay at Bolinao is the Santorini inspired vacation villas – Sundowners!
Vieux Chalet is one of the best destinations for special occasions. Located at Antipolo, Rizal – it’s just a few kilometers away from Metro Manila and the drive is going to be worth it!
