Our Honeymoon in Boracay 🩷

Our first trip as husband and wife, hello Boracay, we meet again! A few days of relaxation and fun activities, we spent our honeymoon at Boracay Station 1’s Mövenpick and Shangri-La.

Mövenpick 🚤

We were welcomed by Mövenpick’s crew via private transfer from Caticlan airport to the resort. The boat ride was around 30 mins plus another 45 mins for the van transfer from the port to the actual hotel.

Upon check-in, we were surprised by a congratulatory cake as well as some chocolates. We also had welcome drink vouchers, courtesy of Accor.

We stayed in one of their Superior King rooms. The room was spacious, it also comes with a balcony where we had our complimentary wine. Although, take note that only the suite rooms come with a tub.

One of the reasons why I would recommend booking at Mövenpick: Chocolate Hour! At 3 in the afternoon, expect overflowing chocolate goodness at the hotel’s lobby, complete with a chocolate fountain!

Sunset Picnic by Mövenpick 🌅

My favorite part of the trip, the Sunset Picnic by Mövenpick 💕 Our Tita Lucy whose family is also spending some vacation time in Boracay treated us to this wonderful picnic as a wedding gift.

This lovely picnic was setup at Mövenpick’s Sol Marina Beachfront garden. We had an amazing early dinner while watching the sunset, it was a very lovely experience.

On our last night, we also enjoyed their signature massage at Sagay Spa, the Hilot Ritual. And of course, we also had some late night munchies.

Mövenpick has 3 restaurants inside the resort, we didn’t really have to leave the hotel because everything you need is already there. It’s just the perfect place to chill and unwind.

Fun Activities We Did 🪂

We spent a day with our niece Odette and did some fun activities, first stop: helmet diving! It’s actually a great activity specially for people who don’t know how to swim but want to experience and see the beautiful views underwater. We met lots of fishes that day!

After spending some time underwater, it’s now time to fly up in the air!🪂 We did parasailing next and it was so much fun! I don’t even know how high up in the sky we were at that time but it’s an activity you must-try when visiting Boracay.

Before going back to the hotel, we had some refreshments by the beach and also did some picture taking by the crystal kayak.

Quick Stay at Shangri-La 🏖️

We are grateful to have experienced Shangri-La Boracay, thanks to the Newmans. Boracay Station 1’s privacy and overall vibe made the whole experience more enjoyable for me, it made me view Boracay in a different perspective.

The view from the Tree House Villa was just breathtaking – clear blue waters that are almost sparkling, I can’t get enough.

The villa is a two-storey tree house with a very spacious bedroom on the first floor and a living area and an outdoor whirlpool bath at the second.

I obviously enjoyed the outdoor bath and had a dip ’til the very last minute before we left the island 🛁

Even if it was not our first time in Boracay, there are still lots of things we did for the first time and there are still more fun activities to try. I was very pleased to have spent our first trip as a married couple in this island and I actually can’t wait to visit again.
